Human and Spiritual Maturity in a Religious Community

The on-going formation is an important task for our Congregation, which is also devoted to the group of Sisters who are approaching retirement age. It is a transitional period of life – from active age to the beginning of slowing down age. The General Leadership offers support for the Sisters of the Slovak Province through meetings on the following topics:

  • Accept and shape the transition to active older age
  • Letting go, becoming free for ... by giving up...
  • Rediscover the mission in the current phase of my life
  • Deepening of the spiritual life and the personal charisma in older age.

Unfortunately, in 2020, because of the coronavirus pandemic, only two meetings were held for 31 Sisters, ages 61-66.

What is our wish for the Sisters who have attended these formation meetings?

Keep in mind in your daily life what has become important to you during these meetings in your relationship with God and people, where you live – in following Jesus, our Redeemer, in the footsteps of our Foundress, Blessed Alphonse Marie. May you, with the grace of God, be able to implement what you have been able to newly recognize and deepen in it.
